Wipro Romania has won Software Outsourcing Project of the Year 2022

Wipro Technologies, Romanian entity of Wipro Ltd, has won Software Outsourcing Project of the Year and is expanding its engineering capabilities in Romania.

Wipro Romania has won Software Outsourcing Project of the Year. During the 8th edition of ANIS Gala on March 31st 2022, Wipro Technologies’ project VDCM Software won the award for the company.  This project is a result of the partnership between Wipro Ltd. and Marelli, one of the world’s leading global independent suppliers to the automotive sector. Thanks to this partnership, Wipro Romania had a remarkable opportunity to work on VDCM Software (Vehicle Domain Controller Management) with Marelli.

VDCM manages the dynamic suspension system of the car and it is implemented in two different ways: one dedicated to cars using internal combustion engines and a different one for electric cars (either completely electric or hybrid cars).

“The VDCM project was from the very start one of the key projects in Wipro’s Romania Automotive group’s portfolio and has been the most complex program developed for powertrain automotive business line. VDCM program was challenging but also brought about many high-satisfaction achievements during the last 1.5 years of engagement, both at individual and team levels. For me and the team, VDCM being awarded as “SW Outsourcing Project of the Year”, it’s just another awesome achievement we have reached together.  An open communication with the management and efficient collaboration with our customer were two key levers in the overall project success”. Radu Ovidiu Darlosan, Program Manager, Wipro Romania.

Wipro Romania continues to expand its Centre of Excellence in Automotive and Embedded Software, Connectivity and Data Platforms, by welcoming NewTech enthusiasts who enjoy the flexibility and wish to work between the comfort of their home and a top office. The company expects its Centre of Excellence to grow to over 300 in the next couple of years.
