University of Wisconsin Chancellor Fired After Secret Porn Side Hustle With Wife Is Exposed

A high-profile public educator, praised in official school statements just months ago, has lost his position at the University of Wisconsin after officials discovered he and his wife had made X-rated videos with prominent porn stars.

Joe Gow, 63, was relieved this week of his role as the chancellor at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, after he was outed for his risque YouTube channel and a more explicit LoyalFans account, which feature videos of him, his wife, Carmen Wilson, and popular porn stars like Mia Malkova, Nina Hartley, and Will Pounder.

In the PG-13 YouTube clips, Gow and Wilson are seen preparing various vegan dishes with the adult film actors. In their X-rated LoyalFans videos, on sale for between $4 and $10, the couple has sex with their cooking show’s guests.

The explicit footage, which dates back only to Nov. 26, includes numerous scenes of hardcore pornography. Neither Gow and Wilson appear to hide their identities in the videos.

Gow admitted to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel that he and his wife created the videos as well as two books about their experiences in the adult film industry — released under the pen names Geri and Jay Hart.

He also stood by his decision to moonlight as an adult actor in an interview with the paper following his dismissal.

Gow and Wilson, who are known online as the “Sexy Happy Couple,” also have videos on OnlyFans and at least two other porn sites.

Gow told the Journal-Sentinel that the content he and his wife produced falls within his right to free speech under the First Amendment. The University of Wisconsin System Board of Regents still unanimously voted to fire him.

“There’s nothing said about the University of Wisconsin; there’s nothing said about the chancellor,” he said after his firing.

“So someone else would have to make those associations. And then someone would have to say those are problematic.”

In a statement, University of Wisconsin President Jay Rothman said Gow’s conduct “has subjected the university to significant reputational harm,” calling his actions “abhorrent.”

The administrators have not commented on how they came to learn about the videos.

Board President Karen Walsh accused Gow of exhibiting “a reckless disregard” for his role as a UW-La Crosse leader, and said she was “alarmed and disgusted by his actions, which were wholly and undeniably inconsistent with his role as chancellor.”

None of the videos appear to be filmed on University of Wisconsin property, or with equipment owned by the school.

Gow was still dismissed on Wednesday during a closed-door meeting.

Over the summer, Gow said that he would be stepping down as chancellor at the end of the current school year, with plans to return to the faculty as a communications professor.

“This is a hallmark of excellent stewardship,” Rothman said in a statement issued at the time. “He has provided a steady hand through challenging times and met the moment when we needed him.”

Officials have begun the process of seeking to have Gow’s tenure status revoked, according to the paper.
