Penn State Shenango to host pitch competition in ‘Startup Week’ – Business Journal Daily


SHARON, PA. – Pennsylvania entrepreneurs have the opportunity to present their business ideas to a “Shark Tank” jury during Penn State Startup Week.

Penn State Shenango’s VenturePointe Incubator and eCenter @ LindenPointe are hosting the “What’s Your Big Idea?” Event. Competition March 24th. The final winner will have the opportunity to participate in a four-week idea test lab at the eCenter and, if the idea is feasible, receive support from the Invent Penn State Initiative and $ 1,000.

The competition is open to all Pennsylvania residents, students, alumni, and entrepreneurs. Submissions can be made at; The deadline ends on February 19th.

A committee selects five winners to present their ideas to a jury. The finalists will be supported before their presentation on March 24th.
