New Ventures Maine launches a series of small business workshops.
FARMINGTON – New Ventures Maine has established a series of ten dynamic online workshops to help entrepreneurs understand and manage the many components of starting and growing their small business. This series is aimed at people researching new business ideas and is also suitable for established companies looking to drive a new strategy.
Karleen Andrews, Business Advisor and Microenterprise Specialist at NVME, announced that the Business Success Series will be offered at two different times over the next four months – one during the day and one at night. The daily series is available on Thursdays from February 11th to April 8th from 12 noon to 1pm. The evening series is offered on Tuesdays from February 9th to April 13th from 6pm to 7pm.
The workshops in the series cover topics such as introduction to self-employment, values + mission, marketing strategy, online business activity, pricing strategies, accounting solutions, projecting cash flow, understanding your company’s finances, quick books and tax readiness for the self-employed.
Entrepreneurs are encouraged to review the list of workshops in the series and select those that suit their individual and specific needs. Each workshop should provide concrete tools and resources to break down the next steps into manageable tasks.
“To be self-employed requires continuous learning. The pandemic has created a lot of uncertainty for budding entrepreneurs and established businesses, both large and small. Continuous learning entrepreneurs have been shown to be more resilient. This is the time to stop and evaluate what is working and what is not, ”explains Karin Petrin, business consultant and micro-business specialist at NVME and moderator of several workshops.
Pre-registration is required. Registration closes one hour before the start of the workshop. For more information or to register, visit our website at bit.ly/classesnvme. There is no fee for the training. Recordings are not available.
