People with an idea for a company can get advice and support from the free course
A FREE online workshop is designed to help future entrepreneurs turn their hobbies and dreams into a successful business.
Stratford District Council’s Venture House has partnered with PopUp Business School to help budding startups get their ideas off the ground.
The five-day online workshop takes place daily from Monday 15th to Friday 19th February from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The council said the workshop was designed to help people find the confidence to make their business ideas a reality. It is aimed at everyone from companies with no business experience to young startups who need support to keep them on track.
The training schedule includes a mix of hands-on sessions, one-on-one tuition, workshops, and local peer support that residents can access from their homes.
Simon Paine, Co-Founder and General Manager of PopUp, said, “There’s nothing like meeting someone with no business experience and leading them through their first sale – it can change lives.
“You don’t need money, experience or a university degree to start a business. All you need is an idea, some passion, and a little help.
“Many of the attendees will leave with a business and a first sale. Those who don’t will still take away business skills, practical advice, and trust. We’d like to say that this is the best business course that money can’t buy. “
Cllr Matt Jennings, Council Portfolio Owner for Economic Development and Tourism, added, “With the pandemic causing a lot of people to think seriously about their future, there will be many in the Stratford area who are unsure of what to do next should.
“The PopUp Business School is a perfect opportunity for people who are thinking about self-employment, to learn the basics and to start their own company.
“Participation is free, so I encourage anyone interested, regardless of age or experience, to register.”
