Dolly Parton supports Side Hustles for SquareSpace Super Bowl Ad

Longtime queen of country music and a fantastic person all round Dolly Parton has re-recorded a version of their classic “9 To 5” from the movie of the same name … but for an ad that Side Hustles supports for Squarespace. The “side-hustle culture” is one that the web startup company thrives on, especially when it comes to marketing its services to those who work “five to nine” away from the office.

Dolly isn’t the only big name working together on this commercial. Oscar winner Damien Chazelle and Tony winner Justin Peck Direction and choreography of the Side Hustle Celebration number for Squarespace.

The minute-long commercial and a 30-second reduced version celebrate the side business in the form of woodworking, horticultural sculpture, cake decoration, painting, hairdressing and even diving. In the revised lyrics of her song, Dolly sings, “When you work between five and nine, you have passion and a vision. Because it’s a hectic time, a whole new way of making a living. You’re going to change your life, do something makes sense of having a website that deserves your dream. “

Dolly Parton has always been about dreaming big and imaginative – it’s one of the big themes behind their East Tennessee theme park, Dollywood. She also advocates for her charities like the Imagination Library, which provides free books to children to help promote literacy and family history. Of course, she is no stranger to the sideline either; During the game, we get a double dose of Dolly when she releases her new fragrance, Scent From Above, in a separate commercial.
