Castrol India appoints Jaya Jamrani as vice president – Marketing

Automotive lubricants company Castrol India Ltd has announced the appointment of Jaya Jamrani as Vice President – Marketing to lead the company’s marketing function for the country. Jamrani, an IIM Lucknow graduate, has spent over a decade in various industries in Castrol both in India and around the world after joining Unilever, the company said in a statement. The appointment will take effect on January 1, 2021. In her new role, Jaya will lead the marketing strategy for India across business areas, including forging strategic partnerships for growth.

“Her broad experience and understanding of changing consumer needs has helped her lead some iconic campaigns for Castrol such as the Castrol CRB Truck Aasana and Castrol Super Mechanic, promoting successful media and content partnerships including Castrol Activ Scooter Girl in the City and to steer Castrol POWER1 roadies as well as strategic associations like the Castrol-3M collaboration, “it said.

Sandeep Sangwan, General Manager of Castrol India, said that in addition to her in-depth business knowledge and proven ability to generate results, Jaya can be attributed to some of the company’s successful targeted marketing and influencer advocacy campaigns in the recent past.
