Applying military service skills to healthcare marketing

Tom Heiser has little doubt that his experience in the US Air Force in his early 20s had a huge impact on the person he is today.

“Like many young people thinking about military service, I saw it as an opportunity to realign my focus on the future,” said Tom. “The result of my almost six years of service was the knowledge and experience that I gained through living in a foreign country, adapting to a new culture and experiencing an event as significant as the fall of the Berlin Wall – and all in an environment in which I have worked. My work has been invaluable to the nation. “

Tom studied Czech and Slovak for 1 1/2 years at the Defense Language Institute’s Foreign Language Center in Monterey, California before he was posted to Germany.
